Our building
Live to Learn, located on a quiet street in Southport, offers a range of facilities. The ground floor features a communal kitchen and bistro, an office with a computer area, and a spacious arts & crafts area that includes a dance studio with floor-to-ceiling mirrors. Outside, there’s a tools and equipment storeroom, a sunny yard for gardening with a greenhouse, and a small animal management area. Upstairs, you’ll find a hair and nail salon, a large multi-purpose recreational studio for activities like audio/visual entertainment, music, relaxation, and yoga, a therapy and sensory room, a baking kitchen, and a small office.
We coped through COVID
We offer flexible, tailored provision to meet each client’s specific needs, interests, and learning goals. Services are available Monday to Friday, year-round or during term breaks, from single days up to five days a week. We provide a free taster day to assess individual needs, followed by an experience assessment and feedback session to help create the ideal schedule.
Clients enjoy a light breakfast (hot drink, toast, yogurt, or fruit) and a choice of two healthy home-cooked lunches or a jacket potato/toastie. You can also bring your own. We cater to all dietary needs. Weekly menus are client-chosen for healthy, wholesome meals, with themed international dishes on Wednesdays.
We Laugh, We Learn, We Live
We promote independence, choice and social inclusion through all activities and events we host. We hold social and interpersonal skills to be key to the service we provide.
